I've used "carby cleaner" on an old car of mine, did the trick that was asked of it... I guess this Subaru gear is similar. Are there any downsides, or potential downsides to using this stuff?, aside from using too much and bending rods.

I didn't say this in the review as I didnt want others to try it, but I actually took out my spark plugs, and sprayed it on the tops of my pistons. I didnt use heaps of it on them, was just enough to give them a nice coating. Then I replaced the plugs, let it sit for 15min then started it up no problems at all.
If you look in the first pic I have a second can in the background, as I did the cleaning process twice, and used a bit of the second can for the piston tops.

That reminds me.
*commits to memory*
Don't call fire brigade when I see smoke over Hoppers Crossing. It's probably FFG going to work.
*end commitment*
Ok no more false call outs now. By the way, how many times have the firies been out to your place for "car on fire"?

Me and Cent did this to our cars, didn't make a huge difference on my car (only 30,000 odd k's on the clock) but made a massive difference to his car. If you engine has done a fair few k's, it's cheap horsepower in a can!!

put some through the 02 Pulsar, not as much smoke as above but i could still feel the difference, not quite so sluggish of the mark(butt dyno again) 125km on the clock, runs 91 most of the time.
I'll put a can thought the roadster soon

i don't think you will be getting a group buy happening as you can only get it from subaru. and anyone else that has it gets if from subaru - mrt etc. i just put some through this morning and it feels much smoother. I have not strung it out as its a bit rude to redline at 8am on a saturday in the valley. my car has 77k on it and for the first 60 odd were on ulp. I may even do another can. got mine from subaru newstead for 17.67 (16 plus gst i think). very worth it.
