Don't be 'romanced' by the cheap 'entry fee' of the ebay turbo kit.
Do it right the first time, Trust me mate, go an AVO.
If your handy enough, you can fit it yourself.

Now I'm a pretty big brand whore at the best of times so my view may be slightly biased, but honestly, how much is your car worth to you? If you are trying to make a fast car on a shoestring and have a replacement engine to go in when you current one goes bang by all means go for it. While your at it weld the wastegate shut for extra power! lol
However, if you plan on having the car for a long time and not just a good time, I'd go with something tried and tested. HKS used to make a turbo kit for NA8s, not sure if they do anymore... shows as discontinued on Nengun http://www.nengun.com/hks/turbo-kit-bolt-on

Ok, thanks for slapping some sense back into me.. I needed that!
I think im going to put the motor back together (turbo ready, with rods etc.) and get it back on the road, then gather the parts/money for a proper turbo setup while my 5 is not taking up space in my mates garage
Means tuning the ECU twice (once for the cams, once for the cams + turbo), but what the hell..

Hmmm.. should find out how much a Begi kit is sans turbocharger, could go a good kit with a decent used nissan turbo
I am pretty conviced i should be able to put together a decent setup for $2k to $2.5k (not including engine build), Im just not quite sure how :>
