Enkei RPF-1

Hi peoples, I am keen on getting a set of Enkei RPF-1's in 16x7 +35 however nobody in Australia seems to stock any or is able to order any in for that matter. Good-Win in the US seems to be my best option at around AU$1900, inc postage that is nearly as dear as the damn wheels themselves!

Before purchasing I just wanted to ask two questions..

1/ If anyone has seen a better deal through a local importer etc (must be new)
2/ If anyone in Brisbane has a set on their NB that I can come and view to reassure myself that I will be happy with my purchase

Admittedly i purchased mine from Brian/Goodwin when the dollar was much stronger. However spoke to some local distributors and was told, sometimes incredulously, that my price was lower than their wholesale.

Alternatively, you could go with a Japanese based importer such as Nengun Performance; the factor for me was shipping, as i used an associate who ships containers from the US to bring mine in, whereas with Nengun your stuck with air freight which is fast but v.expensive.

Wun-911 has a set on his NB of similar size/offset i believe, would be worthwhile speaking to him about fitment. But my limited knowledge of NB wheel fitment tells me that sounds fine.

You cant get that size locally anyway.
Enkei RPF-1's in 16x7 +35 would be a good fit, you shouldn't have any problem with it. I have 16x7 +25 & lowered, didn't need to get my fender rolled or anything like that.

I'm pretty sure MX52NV runs a set in 16", he might be able to supply some. He's away "up North" but if you send him a PM I think he's back middle of the week.

Local tyre shops used to be able to get the 42 offset for around $1600 however I'm hoping to get a slightly better offset then that..

Brian @ Goodwin has each wheel for US$199 however USPS will no longer send 2 wheels at a time so each wheel will now cost US$149 to send That price with the current rate is roughly AU$1900 which is ok but before laying down the money I'd love to see a set to confirm I can handle the spoke design/lack of offset.

I know JDM yard sells the Enkei RPF1 in 16" size but not sure about the offset...

I was looking for 16" RPF1s for a very long time had to settle for 17" ones...

Alright, time to bring up an old thread as I still haven't handed the dosh over for new wheels!

There's now a local importer who can get the RPF1 in any size so I'm looking at 16x8 +38. From what Brian at Goodwin is saying these will fit without any dramas as long as the car isn't totally dumped. I've looked around for tyres and the Toyo T1R looks like a good option in the 225/40/16 size. Overkill all around I know, but the wheel will sit well and this should give the car a little extra grip...

Ok - now over to the knowledge bank - Is the tyre and wheel size ok etc etc? (I've used 1010's calculators and all seems like it'll work)
