newb question: suspension/shock combo suggestions?
Have anyone tried the Gaz coilovers? The new ones, not the old rebadged AVO ones. Theres some pretty good comments on the UK side of things, Mania recently got them in as well.

well it seems like these fatcat bumpstops are the way to go i gather? they seem easier to source too... found this website http://fatcatmotorsports.com/FCM_KYB_pr ... A.htm#bump
1. not sure about the specs of the king springs, whether i would need a 36mm or 46mm bumpstop.
2. are dust boots necessary? do i need to order one or is there a stock one already in my car which i can modify?
thanks for the help so far!
and yeah the exchange rate is a kick in the face too...

Hey Doogle,
36mm front and 46 rear are what I used, but if you email FMC with your requirements they will advise whats best for your need, and you dont need boots on Billies but not sure about other brands.

just an update: i ordered the kyb agx shocks, and some 46mm FCM bumpstops... they'll be in soon! cost me about $900 so far though... so not that fantastic, mostly cause of the exchange rate i guess.
in terms of the low king springs, repco quoted me $422 for a full set. anybody know a better deal?
i'll have a go installing it all in the easter break

You shouldn't pay more than $300 for kings, even Autobarn sell them for less than $300.

update again; found some king springs on ebay brand new and relatively cheap ($260 delivered), easter break is around the corner, got the shocks ($800 delivered), fcm bumpstops ($140 delivered) and some new 15" lightweight rims coming along, may get it professionally installed for $120... can't wait!!
so i guess all up, with a poor dollar, its gonna cost me roughly $1200. Add in another $120 for installation.
in the end, perhaps a little bit over budget but can't thank you guys enough for advice.
cheers!

Good to see you got it all sorted out $120 for the install sounds like a good deal.
You might have to factor in an alignment seeming its lowered etc
I think a four wheel alignment is around 70 dollars can wait about a week and let everything settle down.
