Postby roddclarke » Mon Mar 30, 2009 1:55 pm

Well i need a new set of Front Hubs, my wheelbearings are shot.

CBC have some for the Non-ABS model, are these the same and i just put my ABS ring on them?
or are they different?

Front wheel Hubs ABS and Non-ABS

There are 2 different size rings so depends on which one you run and what size the collar is on the hub. Originally the CBC ones were made for the rear of 323's and a couple of other models before they realised they were the same as the MX5. We found the ones I got from CBC fitted the SE rings ok. Maybe the CBC guy can measure the collar and let you know the size?

CT can probably give you a definite answer on this - CT where are you ????

I bought one from Bearing Traders at Arndell park...was ABS version and the ring was the right size..but I think there is a chance that they can come with the wrong size ring...you can just swap them over...was about $160.

All the CBC, Bearing Traders and the OEM non-ABS ones can all have the rings pressed onto them. As per Boyracers thoughts above. A little heat and a copper hammer do wonders..... :)

The current batch of NTN made hubs in the Sydney warehouse all have the wrong diameter ABS rings.
