Power window squeal

Dont rip the plastic sheet if you can avoid it. You might find things start to get a bit damp inside the car next time it rains.

Power window squeal

My driver side (electric) window on my 1999 NB was squealing embarrassingly.... scoured some older posts on here and decided to take somebody's advice and remove the door panel and spray Dry Glide all over the tracks inside the window frame. it was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and the result: no more squeals.

the window just seized up again two days ago! WTFBBQ! did they use cheese to make passenger side or something coz my driver's side is still mint.

Yeah the black goop and plastic sheet, if anychance you f'ed it up, just get plactic sheet from some packaging and black silicon from bunnings.

I have an automatic window closer connected to my alarm.
Whenever I lock the car using the remote, it automatically closes the windows for me.
It cost me around $150 at the time, but I reckon it's worth it.

If the Almighty had wanted us to wind up windows, he would have given us rotatiing hands!

my window makes not a squeal sound from the windows, but the actual gears that rotate to make the windows go up and down. i've ripped out the door panels to try and get to them but no luck.

has anyone got a fix for this?
