Hey guys,
I want to hook up a shift light in my '94 NA8 race car. Can someone tell me which is the RPM pinout on the ECU?
Thanks, Paul.

I just hooked mine up to the wire going into the taco itself since thats closer to where the shift light was going to be put anyways. I can't remember which one it was but I found it jsut by following thw wires from the cas and finding which coloured one matched one of the wires going into the cluster.

Thanks, that might work.
I might see if I can track down a wiring diagram for the NA8 somewhere.

If you have no luck I can try and look in my manual at home.

I found this site which seems to have a heap of MX5 wiring diagrams.

According to this, the wire that comes from the coil to the tach on the '94 model is black/white.
Paul.

Or use the 'IG' pin in your diagnostics box under the bonnet, it's a 5V PWM signal with pulse width proportional to RPM
Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...
