Apparently it went over the edge of Summit Road and was lucky to get wedged by a rock or tree or something before it ended up in Cleland. Was supposedly on a Mazda cruise last night

Word gets out ey. Yes it was me that nearly got injured or worse. Certainly a wake-up call & quite embarrassing. Not a good area for anything to go wrong & was only metres away from a ravine & no guardrails or trees that'd stop a car.
I was very lucky to get away from that! Amazingly uninjured & not even a scratch on the car either.
Let it be a reminder that no-one & no car is invincible.
According to the park ranger who fortunatley was passing by at the same time, someone else recently went off at the next turn & died...

Did you hit the brakes when things got hairy? You need to gas it with 4WD. It sounds like you need some track days to figure out what you're car can and can't do

Yeh I did actually, locked them in fact.. Wasn't my night at all.
I'm withdrawing my application to Adelaide Jap Day & going to the next Motorkhana in April. & perhaps I'll move to Finland as well.

Theres a practice day at Mallala on the 4th April if your interested, I won't be at that one but will be at the next on the 1st May. That all jap day actually looks quite good for that sort of thing, shame I'll still be overseas.

Yeh I'll give Mallala a try sooner or later. Don't want to be spending much money at the moment though on things like helmets & whatever else is needed since I'm out of a job at the moment.
Motorkhana seems to be a cheap start though.
Was watching the WRC on TV today, haha countless mistakes happening there of all sorts, even engine stalling. The 09 Cyprus stage is really tough.

Glad you're still with us, I hope once you have a job you can borrow a helmet and get some track time, you'll soon be addicted.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Anyway, some photos. Quite a reasonably turnout of about 8 cars & some passengers, bit unusual for SA.
