do they allow passengers and do they have timing?

Yes passengers allowed but same clothing/helmet requirements as for the driver.
No official timing but hand timing is allowed.

should be a great time with about 25 confirmed so far!!!

Still room let if you want to join us - call / email Simone or Ajay at Mx5 Mania.

For more info on the facility see - http://www.mdtc.com.au

Wait I've now got conflicting responses, are you sure they allow passengers, if so there's more incentive for friends to come.

Oh don't be such a pansie and just go to it with whoever you want to drag along. You know I'd be hassling you to come along if I was in Sydney.

My friends will be more likely to come if i tell them they can ride in the car.

See you all tomorrow with my monster truck of an mx5. The wheel alignment I did with finish line is good yet again, hope I don't understeer, I put lots of toe in in the rear. I also put the wolf back in to see if I can get better response.

yeh of course. Mania had to pull the arm off and cut the bolt off to get it out.

Car handled like a civic. UNDERSTEER SUCKS. Have to reduce my rear toe in. I ended up softening the damping, softened the front bar and stiffened the rear. Car was much better. I managed to consistently get 47's. Couldn't push it though coz i just got understeer, then suddenly oversteer. I just had to slow right down for the corners, and then I had no torque to power out of it. Brakes were brilliant though, end of the straight requires less than a second of braking, its like dab turn after the patch on the road. Brake bias adjuster is fantastic, managed to get good balance for trail braking to help turn in. Although I still think i can get more from the brakes, it seems that it requires a massive amount of pressure/travel (if not impossible) to get the wheels to lock in a straight line, I think the rear left hub having play pushes the rear rotor out so the pedal has to move too far and I can't get full braking. Could also be squidgy lines and no master stopper. The car being a monstertruck to pass defect meant I couldnt run enough camber so that didn't help either. Pretty much sums up my day. Don't like the track that much, its ok, good for street driving practice, but not as a race driver training, its nothing like a real race circuit, you dont even get to 4th gear, you get to 3rd twice but not for long.

THe place was ok, nice people running it. However I think its kinda dumb to put a track next to houses when they are going to complain about noise, like what did they expect. ALso no special fees for passengers, any passengers have to pay full $100 to go, and they can drive too, but what if they want to just ride, thats way too expensive, even wakefield have gotten that right. They also don't have enough garages. So yeah I think ill stick with wakefield, its alot more fun.
