its an interesting observation because most people think the 17" weigh more and spoil handeling.

If the RP01 was a 16" I would think it'd weigh quite abit less!

wheels are lighter than the tyres that fit them in most cases. so using a larger wheels with less tyre material should result in a lighter package up to a certain point. probably within an inch or two depending on what the wheel is made of and the tyre construction. and they look great wun - really nice choice of wheel. I just wish these came in a more aggressive offset.

i was reading an article that explains that wheel rigidity has a role in track times as well, not just weight.

essentially, you want a wheel that is both rigid as well as light. But failing that rigidity works better

Yes, I read that last year, was quite interesting. The good news is most forged wheels is lighter and stronger than cast. Those enkeis is still considered cast, even though they use their MAT or whatever process they called it. They should have picked a different lighter wheels since lightening the standard ones will weaken it quite significantly.

I thought It's about time I share my wheels on my NB which I've had for a while now. They look like normal chrome wheels in these photos, but they actually darker. Official colour is hyper-black or also known as Shadow Chrome.

also, anybody have pics of the 501s in 15x7 +38? I want to see how much of a lip they have in that offset.

There is no lip, it's like 1cm vs 3"

i was just about to upload some +15's for you, then read you wanted +38. if you like this wheel, i dont see why you shouldnt/wouldnt get the +15's, generally they work out being flush with the guard with very little camber/rolling etc. Its when you get to the big daddy 0 offsetters is when you need to play around to get good fitment.

anywhos, i got some pics up of the +15's, no one does the +38's on the mx.

+15 will be okay, rolling would be required.

+15 does not hang out the guards, it works out to be flush on an NB. you will need to roll your guards, but thats all really. Yes they are 15x8 +15.

With my new black 6UL's. They're only +36 but they wearing 225/50/15 semi's slicks which are about 248mm wide. So they only JUST clear with a lot of camber.

Are the ones on the silver NB 15 inch ??? they look bigger than the others....
