Options for a new seatbelt.

I just picked up a 94 NA8 on the weekend, and the drivers sealbelt is a little frayed and needs replacing. I rang Mazda for a price, but where else can I get one from? I also rang Repco, and they are getting back to me today. I'm located on the Gold Coast.

I think they stock aftermarket Klippan ones

I just rung autobarn, and emailed hemco. Now I just ahve to wait for them to get back to me. Hemco do coloured belts for $20 extra... I could get one that matches the car colour

autoliv are an OE supplier and supply to the local industry. Their credentials are impeccable and these guys are serious players and well known in the OE component industry. Seat belts are not the sort of thing that one should take any risks on - you want zero failure rate. I would be quite sure that they have full control of any manufacturing and testing. Mazda would also only supply OEM quality from a Quality authorised plant. My advice buy quality and well done for spotting that your existing belt is frayed.

Have you checked your.
Brake pads.
Suspension bushes.
Tyre pressure.
Shocks.
ball joints.
steering rack.
All of them could end up being the reason you need a seatbelt that is in a.1 condition

I picked up the car Sunday morning from sydney, then spent the rest of the day driving it home to the Gold Coast. The car drove flawlessly. I had a friend who's a mechanic check it out for me, and the girl I bought it off maintained it VERY well, which really surprised me. Everything is tight and in good nick. I will double check everything on the weekend or sooner, as I have already noticed a few mods last night that I wasn't aware of (adjustable koni's and kings

)

With seatbelts, Autoliv, klippan and hemco are all decent brands, but the mark-up in price along the way can vary greatly. I'm not just going to buy on the first price I get, especially from a dealer, but I'm not going to skimp on it either. I'm just trying to find if the price I've got is honest before I head off and make my purchase. So far, the Vic labour day has stopped me getting any responses from repco, autobarn and hemco. I had forgotten about hemco, so I'm glad someone reminded me.
