So another day over and lots achieved,

Grump came over and we got stuck into the car

Graeme started to modify the stripes

Image

Well, they fell of when he started playing with em.

I finished off and refitted the grill, defuser and lower engine cover, including drilling out broken bolts. painted and refitted front tow hook.

Image

We fitted the race wheels to see what it would look like,

The car with the old wheels,

I think the gold wheels win!!!!

Graeme has taken the boot lid to repair and repaint.

Then we tried to see how the paint work would come up with a bit of elbow grease,Before

Image

After

So I think Graeme and I achieved a fair bit today, Scooter may look different but I think when we're finished everybody will like it's new look.

This is Graeme looking to see what he can pinch off the Clubby while I'm not there!!

See ya all later,

Hi all,

Been a bit slack this week,

Stripped rear suspension and cleaned and painted arms, fitted new bushes.

Replaced throttle body and fitted up Loch Stewart air box and plumbing, repositioned oil catch can and washer bottle, just need to make up professional brackets, maybe Monday.

Car now runs and starts up nice and easy, idling was a bit of a issue but finally sorted.

Tomorrow should be another big day or maybe a little day and go to Lakeside to watch sprints.

Just some photos

Engine bay still needs a bloody good clean,

Rear suspension bushes done,

The black wheels need a bit of red around the rim lip to enhance their appearance IMO. But then again, I'm a fan of that look. Though not in the style of rim you have on the pix.

Hi Hammer,

At the moment I'm thinking that the Racing Sparco wheels need to go.

I really like the gold wheels, enough that I have the same wheels on my Clubman!!! but in silver.

Will probably order another set in white, if we go with Graemec's strip scheme.

HI All,

Well Sunday is over and looooots more done.

Grump doesn't like dints so l/h rear 1/4 panel has been straightened and painted,

I got the good job of cleaning.

All the suspension is now finished, just needs alignment.

So jobs to do:
Radiator
R spec tyres
Cat convertor
Brake pads
Rego
Blue plate

Not much, just lots of dollar$

So after 2 weeks of owning Scooter I think Grump and I have done a fair bit of work, still lots more to go but can start to see results.
