NA8 elec aerial

Postby 1blue5 » Mon Jan 26, 2009 3:10 pm

Hi all, wondering if anyone has had to replace their elec antenna. Mine doesnt fully go down, looking at the bottom section on the antenna it looks like it has previously been bent. Is this a hard job to replace one. I can tell the aerial should go up a couple more lengths as the motor keeps trying to push it up, same as when it goes down. Any advice would be great, thanks.

You have 3 options

Remove aerial from car and then..

1...replace with a non retractable aerial

2..replace with another retractable aerial

3..if you are any good with your hands and have some patience you can buy a replacement cord kit from Mazda.

Good luck with it

Sounds like the little white track which the motor turns has a break in it. About $90 or so to Mr Mazda Spare Parts will get you a replacement.

If I were you though, I'd just order from these guys.

I've done the change before, fairly straightforward.
