Hi All
I am thinking of getting some more gauges. What are the typical applications most people use?
I have an Oil Pressure gauge ready to be installed and was thinking of adding Oil Temp and maybe water temp.
These are the options I was looking at:
Oil Temp 100 - 250deg. F

I have (but not yet fitted) Boost, Water temp and Oil temp for the SE. I went for celcius for the guages, since thats the standard temp measurement in Australia and what I've gotten used to

For the oil temp sender I'm going to use a sandwich plate between the filter and block (or in my case, filter relocation piece and block). Was $30 from justjap (plus postage if you cant pick it up) - clicky

You dont have to goto that much trouble...
I use one of these, for my VDO oil temp gauge.

It replaces the sump plug, and sends the oil temp using the small clip on the end. You just need to run a wire from the sender to the gauge inside. I have been using one in my car for about 3 years with no problems...

I've got a boost gauge, and it reads in lbs per sq inch, because reading in bars is just too difficult to understand, even though I know htat about 15.1 lbs + 1 bar.

I think Aust was very smart all those years ago to go metric. Anyone who had the misfortune to have struggled with the nonsense of a daft imperial system which even varies with US imperial would thank our administrators. The simplicity of metric is a huge plus and a saver of time and it is has a logic. Personally I do not ascribe to remnants of imperial still hanging about as it strikes me as a reluctance to move forward. We are a long way in front of some other countries who seem to hold on to these antiquated measurements as some sort of badge of honour. Once you read measurements in metric they take on their own meaning and it is not really necessary to equate it to a system which is by and large dead in this country.

Something with peak hold would be nice.
For 3 gauges in a single din slot probably Coolant temp, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure.

I say get the gauges in what ever measurements you fell comfortable in using. I grow up with the metric system in school, but when I started working, I had to use the imperial system for alot of the things I worked with. When I think about boost pressure, I think in psi, but when I think of hydraulic system pressure, I think in bar.
