Hello,
I am considering to get a new set of rims. but not sure which off-set is the best for my NB8B.
Buddyclub P1racing SF Challenge
A)15x6.5 +35 4x100
B)15x6.5 +42 4x100
C)16x7.0 +42 4x100
For option C, do I need a Hub ring to fit them properly? since they are 16x7.0
Also, has anyone here heard of CARUSO wheel? the offset is 16x7’’ 4x100. Couldn't able to find any info on google. not sure whether it is cheap and nasty or extremely heavy. but the price seems to be very cheap...

This is very subjective, you will get a variety different answer.
I had 3 set of rims on my NB8B so far. The first 2 I pretty much stay as close as the standard offset which is +40.
Now I have 16 X 7 +25, which IMHO is the best balance of both world. It sit flush with the fender when you lowered the car and doesn't even require guard rolling and you'll get wider track.
Some people here will say that pushing your wheel out will cause bearing issue. Well, that again its up to your own choice. Personally I think when your car is lowered with standard offset, it looked silly...the wheels looks tucked in.
People always talk about stance, and smaller offset will give you that stance. Will the wider track gives you better performance, that again is debatable. I certainly would like to think so

I'd love to fit a +35 offset in my NB8B, but i've been told there might be some rubbing if the guards aren't rolled.

Yes, you will need hub ring, unless you get 949 racing rims which is designed for MX5.

I believe those caruso wheels are just your normal knock off wheels, that you get from most wheel, tyre places.

Any of those wheels will look nasty like a tram with the wheels way in under the body. Handling will be nicer than with lower offset wheels though.
For a 7 inch rim I'd go for something around +17 to +20 if you don't want to go silly with 8 +0 type stuff
