mx5 brass bush for gear shifter
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

what are the benifits and how much are they lilkely to be? Will it help smooth out my chunky 2-3 gear change?

sorry about going off topic...


from the sounds of things, that doesn't sound like a bush problem. i think your 2nd gear synchro could be rooted :idea: basically, if you have problems putting the car into gear e.g. selecting the reverse gear and the gear does not select, that ought to be the gear selector bush.

My reverse does this....car only has 35k kms on it.....it did it when I bought it with 22k on it aswel...

mine did too. had to put the car in first, roll it forward a bit, then reselect reverse :?

Yep exactly what I have to do...sounds like it may be a common fault then...
