Real or Not?
Is the bonnet on this NA for real or a photoshop muck up using a Lotus Elise bonnet? I got the photo from Max Power website, but what they're selling on this photo are the lights. No mention of the bonnet.
If it's real, do you know who makes it? I need to know if they make one for an NB.
The side intake vents certainly makes it look like a photoshop muck up.

I'd say fake. Lots of little things don't look quite right.

That bonnet won't fit even it was real, the air vents will be too low and will hit the engine and other parts, due to the bonnet being made for an Elise which has no engine at the front.

Thanks for the link. Some good cars there.
Does anyone know where I can get a bonnet like this for an NB8B in Australia?

Probably won't help you, but I've been talking with JRacing here in Canberra about sourcing something like that for my NA. They said worst case scenario, they can always modify a stock bonnet. I'm sure most other body shops could do the same.
And awesome link by the way there crzymx.

No. Coz according to the articles as referred to in this thread, they found when the undertray was removed, that actually increased the pressure inside the engine bay, reducing the pressure differential between inside and outside the bonnet. Which means, the airflow through the radiator and Intercooler slowed down, thus making them less efficient in removing heat.
It seems the trick is not to ram more air into the engine bay, but to increase the exit/exhaust of it, so air will flow through it quicker.

yes there is, It's Garage Vary, you can get it as a full bonnet, or just that cut out, and you fit it onto your oem bonnet.
full bonnet- in carbon fibre or FRP
Or just the "air vent" by itself

I think it's fake based on the dark red on the far side of the nearside cut out.
Vary bonnet is the way to go, but i'm bias

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks Philz. Looks just like what I'm after.
Okibi, how has yours faired? How long have you had it? Any pros and cons? Are those two indents at the front for the bonnet pins?
Cheers
