...or build a relatively cheap 2.3 bottom end (Mazda 3 SP23, Mazda 3/6 MPS or Mazda 6) with forged internals, do what I said and get *400 rwhp! :mrgreen: And run on BP Ultimate 98. :D All this for a LOT less than a Cosworth motor (AUD$14k to $18k) and supercharger kit (AUD$8.2k) plus shipping, duty and GST.

Imagine replacing parts on a Cosworth motor or supercharger kit.... :shock:

*Okay there is a lot more to spend and do before getting such horsepower but it's all detailed in my first post 8)

I agree, build it. It would have to be road registered though. Whats the point in having a car like that if you can only use it on the track.
From what I hear though it shouldn't be too hard to register something like that in WA
grumbles about victoria's rego laws
