I stongly agree with ben, James is a really great guy, he is very easy to get along with and does not rush anything.

He repaired my NA headlights after some drunk maniac kicked them in, he did a superb job for the amount of damage that was done and only charged me $200. he is very good for little aftermarket goodies like wheels, shift knobs, exhausts, Model cars and servicing and body parts.

He mainly specialises in the NA series but have a few NB parts too. My opinion is go out and get to know him, have a chat. thats what i did.

He is open most saturdays from 10am till around 5pm.

As for the soft top cover... as already alluded to it'll make the car look neater, but for practicality sake they aren't vital...
Not all MX5 owners have the cover but the roofs still survive...
Some even say it's an extra hassle to put on and pull off (that being said some people think of a manual roof as a hassle... it's all personal)

Hi all, I think I will go and introduce myself to the mx5 centre, and for the cover I will wait to see what I can get my hands on. Dont know who Andrew is, however little embarrassed our names are similar however, do you suggest I come up with a new name???? cheers.

when it comes to spending money "doing it up", might I suggest you spruce up suspension components first as it gives the most tangible results. :wink:

Andrew your car looks great-and well, is there anything that you havent done????. thanks for the pics. Actually my car has lowered suspension, slightly bigger rims and a big 'air thingy' under the hood-(am new to modifications), remember I came from a stock standard 318i. I took some pics shortly after I took it for a run the day i signed on the dotted line (with my phone). Will try and bluetooth them to my mac-fingers xed I can share her with you guys, if not it will be after this thursday. Remy

I would support NMX516 view on the warranties. I also would not be comparing the BM to the MX5. The little sports car has a reputation for a very well engineered and designed car and is rugged and reliable. The whole warranty thing in general feeds on peoples generally unfounded fears.

Thanks CheyneX5, Mr Morlock, thanks for the advice. Sadly not long after I got the BM I had to replace the head and front end, and as Im sure you can imagine wasnt cheap. anyway it looks like I may be able to pick her up tomorrow! will let you guys know. Thanks for the support and advice so far, much appreciated.

Thanks Remy. When it comes down to the nitty-gritty, my car is actually considered "mildly" modified. Looks like I've done alot, but I haven't really.... certainly not compared to some of the maniacs on this forum :mrgreen:

If your suspension is good enough to satisfy you, then I guess the next best and arguably the best thing you can do, when it comes time for it, is to buy the best tyres you can afford.
