I dont have a NC but need a respray on my NB so im just thinking of maybe doing a subtle change like changing from Classic Red to True Red like on a NC
googling didnt come up with a lot, so im just wondering whether someone can confirm that the colour code for True Red on a NC is A4A
Can anyone confirm the colour code for the NC True Red

This seems to confirm it as being A4A. I would also suggest ringing the spare parts section at your friendly Mazda dealer as they sell tocuh up paint and will have it on record.

If you do a respray you will have a mismatch unless you go to a lot of trouble- boot/ door openings/ firewall etc.

Confirmed true red is A4A - as shown on my car's door jamb plate.
Why Mazda didn't

If the colour is not the same then it will be discernible. If the colour is very close why change? You can easily get colour varations even batch to batch or even due to spraying techniques. The car industry has lots of problems just getting plastic bumpers to match the car.

ahha a simple way of making the colour match the sample is to spray the sample the same time as you spray the product, have done it quite a few times to stop stupid whinging customers that don't realise the colour chips are a photograph not the actual paint.
