Can na kings fit nb?
Sorry if this has been covered, search function has dissapeared. Do NA king springs suit NB's? They should shouldnt they, im pretty sure most of the suspension is interchangable between the two models?

Springs only - no. The lower perches on the shock are different (flat on NA for ground-end springs, helical on the NB for square cut springs)

So are king springs sold seperately for na's and nb's? Meaning if you purchase king springs for an na, they wont fit an nb?

MATTY is right, the spring perch is different on the nb shock, i'm sitting here looking at both the na and the nb, the nb shock has a helical perch and the na has a flat perch, so I guess its a pretty easy answer, a big no. crzymx, I just did my suspension, brand new kyb/agx and king springs, total cost $780 .I know you probably still study and work part time, and the cash flow is a pain in the butt, and $780 is a long way off, but to be quite honest I looked at second hand items and there are some good quality second hand units out there.Shocks and springs are a mine field of choice, but you would be better off waiting untill the right units come along. PAU61L has a couple of sets for sale at a really good price. I guess what I'm trying to say is you don't want to end up with a pile of missmatched parts that cost you a heap and got you nowhere. hope you make sense of this post.

Hi Grump,
Who did you get the KYB / KINGS package from please. That seems a good price even adding on for freight to Sydney. I have a new to me 91 NA coming on Saturday.
John.

As i think i have been sold na king springs under false pretense, i was wondering if there is a way to get around the incompatibilty? If it the case of the end of the spring being flat can it be sawn off?

Do you mean someone sold you springs purporting to be for a NB when they are actually NA springs?
Thats a consumer affairs issue.
Take them back to the shop you bought them off. Or if it was eBay, file a complaint.
Best of luck.

Oh it was the bloke from mx5factory, if he did he did it by mistake, its just a bitch coz ringwood is a long way away.
I just want to know if it will fit regardless of spring rate or whatever. Im talking about height and width etc. The flat end of the spring doesnt bother me too much i just want to know if i can get around it.

in that case i would take it back to dick for a full refund. You are entitled to a refund.
iirc you could fit it, but it requires a little bit of modification.
