Hi folks,
I'm heading off on a driving holiday to Tasmania tomorrow, and thought it might be good to get the chance to catch up with a few fellow 5'ers for a drive while I'm down your way.
I won't have time on the way south, but coming home I will. I get off the boat from Tas into Melb on the 13th December, and plan to spend a few days in Melbourne from then - hope to drive the GOR, and maybe some other good roads around the place which some of you might be able to show me
I'm likely to be in Sydney on the 20th-ish, so for anyone down there who is keen for a meet up and a drive somewhere, let me know
I should be able to get i'net access along the way, so either post here, or PM me.
Even if anyone has any good suggestions for roads I should check out in your area, happy to hear any ideas!
Cheers,
Gerard

Absolutely come to Phillip Island. How long will you be in Melbourne for? I'm sure a separate meet can be arranged.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies! I've finally had the chance to get back on line. In Tas at the moment..
Phillip Island is going to have to be a "must do", so I will rock up for that. Fatty has suggested convoying out there... So we will have to sort that.
Fuzzlet, that sounds good, I'll keep an eye on the NSW Events section too.
Umm, in Melbourne for a few days - not sure yet Early thoughts at this stage are to leave Melbourne on the Wednesday.

yep there is usually a convoy to PI in the sunday morning, stay tuned on news for that one.
I'm thinking NMX will probably wanna do the GOR on monday, maybe even stay overnight and come back tuesday morning.
then, i was thinking of a spurs run on, say the tuesday night ... any of teem garage (or anyone else for that matter!) interested in this idea?
idea is to head out via plenty road, do the usual jaunt around healesville / toolangi , the black spur and then back via kinglake road ...
