If this is a Wakefield Park run day (rather than a club run day) then it's no open tops. I found out the hard way last time. At least the soft top stretches a bit to accommodate the helmet.

Really? How about that...
Maybe you need to run in the open wheelers group or something? I seem to recall there being a PRB or something along those lines being able to run?
Either way, it doesn't trouble me. I run with the roof up anyway. It helps that I fit
So who's locked in for this? I don't wanna show up only to find I'm the only MX5 driver there. Not that I won't have fun, but I don't know about asking the rice brigade about tyre pressures on their civics

Yep every time I'd go down and back in the day I'd find myself microsleeping on the M7 home

Ok cool, I was worried about not actually being in sydney to make sure everyone was there, and not lost etc.
But if you guys are going down awesome, I'll arrange myself a booking at some point tomorrow..!
Where are you planning on staying? One of the other guys has a place in mind, but I forget what its called. . .

My friend has looked into the place he stayed last time.
Just got an email:
"OK! I'm organising accommodation for Wednesday night at Mike's Manor in Goulburn. I would like to know numbers as the more numbers we have the better bargaining power we have
I stayed there for two nights in July and I thought it was excellent for the price. cost me $40 per night, which included a cooked breakfast in the morning. Also has a pretty good "sit n drink n talk" area
Down side was communal showers/toilets, but I care not for such things.
Watch this space for prices, but I doubt they will exceed $60 per person (unless someone wants a room on their lonesome, they they will be paying for 2 people lol)
OH! I need to know soon, track day is less than 2 weeks away ;)"
If you want I can add you to the list.
Deadline for decision is TUESDAY 2ND DECEMBER.
So think away for the next 4days and let me know.

I've stayed on track and at the Alpine Heritage Hotel before.
Avoid staying on the track. It's not cheap at $60 per person irrespective of a group (as far as I know), and it's bloody cold with tiny electric heaters for warmth and electric blankets. They're literally a tin shed without any insulation. These places would be great if you're down there for a solid stint with a whole bunch of people, but not really the best for a single night just for a track day.
The Alpine Heritage is quite good. At $80 for a twin room (two double beds) or $50 for a room to yourself (also with a double bed), you get your own shower as well, not to mention heating that actually warms the place. You're also in town too, so it's easy to get food and have a sneaky beer before heading off to bed.
Anyway, I'll be doing the one day mission. Now that I've been down a few times, I'm not getting as tired by the end of it as I used to, so I can handle it a bit better now.
