Wanna bet!

I don't get it... I'm pretty sure it's in a box and I'm even more sure it isn't coming out of the box if that's where it is.

Jules is going to help you move house and unpack everything when you get there!

Boags,

I've moved house more than a dozen times. I know what it takes to find and extract from a box something that is a "raison de vivre" As outgoing "spanner" we only need 2 things from you for Dodgy Day. (well 3 if you count Becs). Don't disappoint me now

Mikey, sorry to not return the call yet. Yesssss we have clutches to change over. Just don't know if I can do it ALLLLLLLL Dodgy Day. You see AJ and myself need to drink some fun and sun in....and beer. However I would love a pit/ hoist, some air tools, and some Gaterade to do 2 clutch jobs. Anyone got some of those?

Hi,

Thanks Eric. I'd say probably 7kg's to be honest. I reckon I can eat at least 1kg in one sitting. Superbutcher or Big Gun should have them for a song.

BTW, the Toppy is done thank Christ! However the little external you left me with won't mount and clicks away suspiciously? any ideas?

Bye

Here is the all important list (below) for everyone to add what they are going to try and do to their car/s.

I wanna fix the following on my car.
Jules:
1 x brass shifter bush
2 x sets of disk rotors and pads for the Acclaim
Mikey
Threat of a double clutch change
The Missis
EVERYTHING

I am happy to bring the following food and bits.
Eric: Wingzzzz and other stuff
Mikey:Cheese Kranskies...yummmm, or was that Tezza???
AJ: Something for me and you to get stupid drinking. (I'll have some 6.5 to play with too).
El Presidente:Wing sauce pleeeaaassssee

Add to it as you see fit. We could probably still do with some nibbles, and soft drinks

OK mate 7+kgs it is. 8)

Good to hear about the toppy. I have no idea with the external... could try a different USB cable, oh and its not Toppy compatible, you can only watch it on your PC. Ill have a look at it at Dodgy... and for those others that are coming who would like the new season of topgear (ep 1 - 5 i think it will be) bring your external hdd (min 3.5GB)... ill bring along my laptop.

Explaining Dodgy day to the uninitiated :D

This is how to explain Dodgy Day to a noobie......

I feel I should put some perspective into this - because to a novice it might look a little daunting.

Jules (the Founder of the Honourable Brotherhood of Dodgy Gold Coast Chapter) is generally the man hosting the GCDD. We have had a number of hosts of the Brisbane Chapter (BCDD) - northside (BCDDN), southside (BCDDS).

Mummy (for that is what we call her - unless you are one of the few who have other names for her), is Jules' wife Tabatha (or Tabs). Mummy is known for naughtiness, niceness, and apparently Corey loves it when Mummy slips the tongue into a good night kiss (you had to be there).

The rest of the attendees come from the various rag tag bunch of MX5 driving reprobates from this forum :D. Dodgy days serve a number of purposes. Working on the cars - anything. It could be as small as installing chrome valve caps, or as big as an engine replacement. We have done both in a day :D. We drink beer. We $hit stir eachother (especially Wayne). We eat deep fried buffalo (chicken) wingz (credit to Wayne as he does cook them well), dipped in El Presidente's nuclear powered hot sauce and blue cheese dressing, and also now bbq cheese kranskys. Wives, girlfriends and significant others are always welcome - the girls (for the most part) chat and drink champagne although there are notable exceptions recognisable by their pink overalls..

And when we're done drinking, and eating, and fixing (and while we do all those) we $hitstir Wayne some more :D.

So when you see a dodgy day advertised, buy yourself a packet of screws, or some polish, or a motor and gearbox, and come and say hello, even if just to enjoy the hospitality :D (and hang some $sh*t on Wayne - that's if he turns up at all      )

This all sounds way to interesting to miss out on. Shall I put my name down for soft drink purchases? How many litres will be required going on past experience peoples?
