Hey all, I pick up my '5 on Thursday (cant wait) and one thing i didnt like was the speakers ... (89 Na6a)
I have a set of 6.5" Alpines sitting in my shed (crossovers, 1" tweeters) and was wondering if they would physically fit into the doors (power windows)
Cheers
J

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour ... you're gonna see some serious s**t.

No cutting metal is needed, you can even fit 8inch speakers.
All you will need to fit 6.5" are MDF spacers.
Depth will not be an issue, plenty of depth.

Think older ... and more from the 'pro series ....

(not my pics)
I had these in my mini and with the 4" set in the doors, the 6.5's in the dash and the pair of Alpine 12's in the boot it was loud .....
these are crystal clear and produce lots of bass without colouring the mid-tops too much ....
I love the sound of them, and wanted to put them in my wifes Commodore, but alas they would not fit ....
I dont think I"ll need an amp at this stage, but if i do, i have an old alpine amp sitting around here somwhere
.
FIrst mod already planned ... woo hoo !
