Grumps Na Front bumper

Postby grump » Mon Nov 24, 2008 4:57 pm

Well I have finally mastered this bloody computer I think. Here are a couple of photos of my NA. I have had it for about 3 months.
1989, originally silver but resprayed in Audi silver, a much nicer silver I think, you can only tell it is different when it's alongside a factory silver 5.
Modifications.
Front tower Brace.
miata cold air intake.
boot spoiler
full leather interior in tan.
Seats re bolstered to be more comfortable.
One off custom style bar made out of oval stainless tube.
Custom console in leather, with drink holder and 3rd instrument at the top. wood panels on the face and around the gearstick.
Custom one off stearing wheel ,out of marine grade alloy and Jarrah.
New wheels , not the lightest but I like the look of them, 16x7 with 205x45 tyres.
new NB suspension, kyb agx with king lows.
mohair soft top.
Still to come over Xmas.
A new spray job, the same colour, but I am adding a modified racing beat type 1 nose and modifying the rear bumper to take a twin exhaust system.
A new full exhaust system, headers to muffler.
full detail of the engine bay.
I am in the marine game so the interior ,style bar and paint job cost nothing, just pulled in a few favors. the steering wheel I made myself. I know its not entirely legal but is much stronger and better quality than a Nardi or Moto Lita.
I hope these photos are accessible, if not I'll get someone to put the link up for me.
comments would be most welcome.

Stunning interior, you should be very proud.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

geez that's different. good on you for doing something like that, it is very original. makes a nice change to the normal "just add chrome" interior that a lot of people go with (not that there's anything wrong with that).

That is so well done. I am sooooo envious.
Great work. I really like what you have done with the tombstone and the door cards/trims.

Normally I hate custom interiors and reckon they look pox, but bloody hell your's looks AMAZING! Looks like it came out of an oldschool Ferrari or Aston, beautiful!

Grump - nice work - can't wait to see it this weekend :D (and you thought Dodgy day was beyond you).....

Frank - I'm sure I speak for may of us around here when I say F^&% OFF you troll.

Alternatively - put up and shut up - your choice - that is of course unless your car is fitted with either a Veilside kit, or a Commonwhore body kit.
