i don't know about genetic but as we get older and learn a few things we also learn to listen with our ears as well as our mouth.

mmmmmmmm................well I AM a bit older & live life with my ears open wide, I'm also old enough & experienced enough to dismiss those things that are too trivial to contemplate :)

but the microswitch is added weight , therefore cancelling out any benefits in increased horsepower, surely. also it will adversely affect the handling of the car as it will throw out your 50:50 weight distribution by approximately 0.004% .

If you are running a battery that is half charged and the altenator is working hard to charge it ,the altenator will draw horsepower from your engine. I used the mico switch system on a ski boat that won the Queensland drag ski title many years ago, and that had a 350 chev in it that was producing nearly 700 hp.

I wasn't dismissing anything. comment was directly 100% at the time of day, not the content of your post

lose the micro switch and just twist the wires together when you need contact.
