I got 100mm garden edging which is a very stiff plastic and trimmed it to 75mm and made my own clips to hold it on. Looks good and seems rigid enough. hardest part of job was that Bunnings only had green and not black in stock, so had to spray paint matt black. If not required to paint the whole job would have only taken an hour and cost $25 for 5 metres of the product.

Hey LMW, I just had a question about that front lip you were talking about. How did you make those clips to put the edging on? I actually bought PVC linear plastic which is a little more bendable but i'm having a hard time getting it on properly. If that fails, I may end up with garden edging like you did, it comes in black now.

Felix,
I just got some right angle pieces from Bunnings about 15mm each side, pop riveted them to the bottom of the valance and then screwed the edge trim onto that. Just drove from Canberra to Sydney at 110km and no movement.

the best way to make eyelids is to take 6mm fineline tape, mask out the perimiter of the lights to the shape you want and then use black mascarra to blacken them in , it works for my wife

Yakob/crzymx or whatever you are calling yourself this week,
grump is taking the piss.
though I would like to see you try to make headlight eyelids with mascarra
I believe you can pick it up at your local chemist, maybe even the supermarket. Ask FastFreddyGassit, I am sure he knows the best place to get quality mascarra cheap. I know he uses it on his drag racing nights.
