Compared to now, where my turbo car still has a stock head and cams and makes ridiculously more power than that......I wish I'd gone turbo earlier!

  haha. ok.

i thought it was a "just to see if i can" project.

i've checked it out mate, i have spent months looking into N/A mx-5's/miatas the us seem to have quite alot running around, whereas here no one bothers, which is fair enough but i dont want just another turbo'd mx-5, i like to be different, i'm sure most know that by now.

being different is good, but i find a Turbo MX-5 that can stomp a 200SX, Boxsters, WRXs, & lotsa V8s is different enough.. 8)

different horses for courses.

if going to spend that much amount of money why not go for something thats really different, 2 Hayabusa engines? Miller cycle supercharged V6?

i dont see why an n/a mx-5 cant do the same, they dont need outragous power, they arent a tank like a commonwhore. i'll stick with the BP engine ;) and no F.I (on this one anyway) for me its not about power, i want it to be a capable car that can handle itself well and have great response, the cool factor of itbs has to come into play too, have you heard the sound of them on open throttle ? its porn!

i must admit the strocker kit is probably a long way away (if it ever does happen) but most of the gear is sitting in the garage, and should see over 100rwkw easily, who knows i might even be happy with that, only time will tell.

this is directed at MXHEVN and mmxz005, guys you are a breath of fresh air, young, inquisitive, and questioning, your questions don't involve pretty lights or how to mount number plates, perhaps a little bit more mature than that. Many years ago I used to race motor bikes,(35 years ago to be exact) we used to tinker with them to try and get that little bit more horsepower from them.
I had a 62 6T Triumph that had twin Mikuni fuel injected carbs,( or should I say itb's) used to go like a shower of s--t in a straight line but allways lost it on the corners ( beach racing is something that is best left to Bert) I never had the natural ability to be the best ( a meeting on Oriti Beach is something to be in awe of). sometimes thinking outside the square it good, now I don't know if you will get 100 kw at the rear wheels ,but good on you for trying. with the old ford kent and Pinto motors it was real easy, more air, more fuel = horse power,. easy.Take the Moto gp series for example, Valentino Rossi, won many races on a bike hat had less power, and less speed, was even 17km slower on the main straight, but it was rider ability that gave him the edge. It's the same with MX5 racing, I believe that many drivers don't have the ability to keep up with the cars capability , we all think that we are better than we really are. have your dream and live your dream. and you know if your gonads are as big as your dream, I don't want to be on the track at the same time as you. good on you Guys your'e what makes this forum an interesting place to be

I have found, after having my NA6 on about three different dyno's,
That the mania dyno is not very giving (as you all have stated) shall we say, I have had it on the mania dyno lots of times, also on the custom bugs and buses dyno dynamics, and another main align dyno also! every time the conditions have been similar to the last! always spring time, round the 20 to 25 degrees mark!
Mania's dyno was the lowest read out of all three!

Take it or leave it....

Not really fused in the long run about carrying on what dyno is more giving than others, just thought I would throw in my experience.
