Read this http://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t17498/. It will get you very close to having a built MS1, for completeness use Sabretooth's link (the hardware list is in Miataturbo).

Any one that can hold a soldering iron will be able to assemble one.
Huh?

Am I better off going for a MS-1 or a MS-2 though?

I just need to order it and he'll build it, he said he definitely wants to see how long it takes to assemble the ecu, so I guess I'll be getting an unassembled kit

MS1 has done myself and a few others on this forum well.
MS2 has a bit more (faster processor, better tables) but is more difficult to use.
Huh?

I'm tempted to give MS2 a try, but I want more people to have a go at it first. Early adoption of ECUs rarely works out unless you're really persistent.

Just thought I'd mention that I've taken my car to TAS in Toowoomba as well to get some work done. Had an NB6 intake manifold and throttlebody installed, and sensors (including the Variable TPS) wired up, also installed were 370cc injectors and the fuel rail from my Fast Forward Kit, which Tom says holds 4 times the capacity of the normal fuel rail, and also installed was the pod filter from the kit. The GM IAT sensor was also installed (in the intake manifold) that I got from DIYautotune as well. This pretty much took all day so they had about an hour and a bit on the Dyno so that I could get the car back to Brisbane at a somewhat reasonable hour.

Other than the above mentioned mods I have xforce headers and a 2.25 inch magnaflow catback, it pulled 89rwhp which they said was uncorrected for atmosphere. So at least I have a base to see the improvement when the blower gets put on.

Hey Danny

Its an Aussie 1993 1.6, the guys reckon that their dyno puts out a quite conservative number and that if it was done at sea level they reckon it would be around 10hp more so around 100rwhp. Either way, its going to be a bit more in the near future  and it'll be on the same dyno so the increase will be consistent with the base chart.

Oh dear!!! I just noticed it is in your signature!!

That's good to know the conditions under which the dyno runs were undertaken. Yes, it is great from a benchmarking perspective.

Big G's 145rwhp on that dyno should be quite attainable by yourself.

Cheers,
Danny

Hi Guys
The 145 figure was uncorrected as well, so maybe 155 at sea level.
I've been back to Toowoomba just before christmas, this time we didn't do ant power runs, just ironed out a couple of slow running issues, again very impressed by the professionalism. Had a chat about intercooling, and the view at TAS is that the PWR Liquid to Air Barrel Intercooler is the best way to go. I may look at that later in the year, but at the moment the car is going really well

My FFS kit needs to be intercooled, I can use the e-cool 5th injector setup (Tom included the hardware in the kit) and im sure that'll work ok but i'd rather use some intercooling for peace of mind. The boys at TAS are keen on the PWR kits, another mob to look at is http://www.plazmaman.com.au. but you may find that you'll need to get that thermostat housing relocated to get one to fit nicely across the front of the engine.

Woot! The MS-PNP turned up from the US today. Also wideband O2 sensor, IAT sensor & elec boost controller.

So, for my NA6 with added Garrett GT2554 turbo, large IC, v large injectors / extra fuel pump, no AFM & upgraded 2.5" exhaust where can I find the closest map to start with?

Any other hints welcomed - Sunday coming will be a fun plug in day, although exhaust prob won't be finished then...

Thanks
Peter
