My 1990 NA6

Postby physco88au » Mon Nov 03, 2008 10:35 am

Well here is my Aus delivered 1990 MX5. Bought it stock as they come, other than king springs. car was second owner and couldnt be happy. After owning a S13 and a Soarer i wanted something different from the rest, wouldnt cost much to run, light and NA. An AE86 popped into my head, but again a bit to old, a bit too much hassle and id already had to 4AGE's in corollas.

As i bought it 2 months ago

And since then i have added
15x6.5 +19 Volks with 195/50 RE001's
slotted and dimpled rotors
Whiteline 22mm front swaybar
Whiteline 16mm Rear swaybar
G4 Coilovers 8/6kg
Made 68.5rwkw at Morpowa Dyno here in SA

They came up really well! Your coilovers don't appear to be set at the correct position though

and the parcel ended up with me and im keeping them. They 'could' use a bit more width, but beggers cant be choosers

Another half inch on them would have been good, but they do sit in quite a nice spot, and its not like you'd run more than a 195 even if they were wider anyway, it'd just make them look a little better with a tiny amount of stretch.

What do you think of those Yokos so far?

If I wasnt going turbo (which wont suit my original exhaust) I'd almost offer to sell mine, I'm getting sick of exhaust noise and miss having a stock exhaust with pod induction roar.

I've found a few MX5 bits at Zed Imports and ummm... importer just across from Scotty's motel on Main North at... Nailsworth?

Might also be worth going for a walk through the Mazda section at City Dismantlers, I've found a few cool things in there before
