Wun, I'll see you there...... I am heading up with an Evade to do some testing......
Seriously, as some of the guys have said...... most of the time advantages come from experience. Only when you are getting the most from your car as a driver, can you start seeing many advantages from weight loss. (And I say that from the point of a relative newbie, I can still see that I can lose at least 5 seconds around Winton in driving experience alone!)
That being said.... the Evade is 900kg and 325kw at the wheels....... with around 1200nM of torque..... this WILL be fun!
Cheers
Chris

Good idea fake teeth in and out for track days less weight.
Yeah this bald, azn, jew got 1:55.55, im getting there but, I'm finding it really hard to get better times.
I think I need to shed more weight
I have LN2 and dryice we can have dodgy day at my house everyone bring their own hammer we can do all the cars in one/several hits!

I think you need to add more weight.
Spend more time with someone in the passenger seat giving you advice.
It's what I do and i'm slowly getting better.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Wun,
Looks like you still have your watch on in that photo, that has to be worth 1 second around Winton.
The MX5 Club is planning a Winton round, there will be plenty of guys up there that can give you some advice. Would help if you had a passenger seat on the day.

Yeah I will leave the seat in on driver training day, any help to get my time down would be really cool.
Is steve going to take his own advice and get on the track? Then maybe I wont be last lol!

yeah i will. I'm actually getting new shocks + springs at the moment. In addition, i'll be looking at getting some 15' wheels so i can get access to cheaper tyres + lower unsprung weight.

maybe you should, doing 1:55s...
Well, isn't it obvious - they're so much lighter!
Forget the Micra - I can't believe you were within ~1 second of an EVO7...
