WOAH..... :?

i could understand a response like that directed at a smartass like me. but to direct that at littik, who has been nothing but helpful in every way, in every one of her posts on this forum, is SO NOT COOL!

this forum is suffering from WANKER OVERLOAD lately. no wonder so many of the interesting, helpful , useful members have gone AWOL.

Yakob, before we descend into the wonderful abyss of 'your mom' insults (looks like the next step), I did catch public transport, as I know the effects of an accident on all parties, if one or more aren't insured. Quite frankly, it was my fault that I didn't have the money for insurance as I chose to spend it elsewhere, so I lived with the consequences. I have had other friends that have been in the same situation, so I've helped them out with lifts when necessary. No big deal.

Public transport can be done. Yes, it sucked, yes I was tired, but it can be done with a little planning.

I said 'as far as I am aware'... not 'the law states'. Ben corrected me, all good. This is exactly what forums are for. I do apologise that I'm not perfect. I really do. I'm going to go hide in the naughty room now until I realise the error of my ways in my suggestion. *runs off to the naughty room*

I'm surprised that no one has locked this off yet. I least I know know that the flower filter doesn't work perfectly :P At least it's been entertaining... And agreed, lay of Littik, done nothing but try to be helpful as has everyone in trying to point you in what they feel is the right direction.

Mate i'm 18 too, except I'm happy take peoples advice on board as they might actally know something  Lets be honest, you've only just got your licence, you aren't a good driver by any means. I did a lot of pracice and when I get my license I wasn't a terribly good driver. Two advanced driver training courses and 15,000 km's later and I still dont consider my self to be a good driver, I may be able to control the car well and have a decent idea of what it going on around me, but I dont have the experience to actually be good at the art of driving. Although I am a lot better than I was at the start of this year. In general what I'm trying to say is pull your head out of your arse and listen to what people are saying, you really have no idea. All good and well to have an opinion, but even better to listen to people who know more than you do, no need to get abusive.

Quicksilver, good suggestion. If anyone has some 15' tyres that have at least some life in them perhaps people wont have to worry about Yakob having anouther incident quite so much as he'll be less likely to get into trouble.

As far as i am aware is even worse, because in that case u actually think that it is illegal to not have insurance, makes you seem even more ignorant, not misinformed.

It is illegal not to have insurance.. That is what a lot of the $500ish we pay for rego goes into. Littik is correct in saying that it is illigal not to have any insurance.

Fatty, thanks, I'm all good. I'm having a hard time hearing Yakob from the naughty room though. :)

Yakob is right guys, you'd have to be completely retarded to think that its illegal to drive a motor vehicle on a public road without any insurance. So retarded in fact, that people might mistake you as having had a leukotomy. When will you all learn to stop being such cocks to new members, especially someone who is so enthusiastic about our favourite car. Stop giving the boy so much criticism, he screwed up, now he's paid the price for his mistake, and he's owned up to it, so give him a chance to continue contributing to this community

In some states third party insurance is included in your registration, in others you need to source it yourself as part of the registration process. Third party property is different, and not compulsory.

wow lotsa post didn't even bother reading it so yeah

ok lets get this straight I'm not forcing you to do anything and I'm sure most of us aren't anyway

do you have 3rd party property insurance? if not look at getting it ASAP because unfortunate events do happen and happens unexpectedly you could hit into a Porsche or something and be screwed for a long time

bonus if you can get fully comprehensive insurance that way your also covered

Is your tyres and brake pads up to scratch if so good if not look into it ASAP!!
