Tein

By the looks of that you have a slight weepage and the muck you can see is the coolant that has dried out when it gets to the air.

Carefully and I mean carefully remove the clamp & hose, clean and refit using a proper hose clamp. Don't over tighten the hose clamp.

Common enough problem in lots of vehicles.

The pipe that hose is on is very thin copper and is easily deformed. The hose tends to have a death grip of the pipe. You would need to carefully cut the hose off the pipe and replace.

No need to make everything complicated. I would firstly just clean the residue off and run it for a few days as these things sometimes fix themselves. Failing that remove clean , check condition of hose for cracks ( looks good from snap) replace only if it is in poor condition or even trim the end if sufficient length. A screw type hose clamp may provide more even clamping than the screwless type which relies on spring force to work.

Actually it is slightly complicated Mr Morlock - those who have done this before (JBT, Boyracer etc) advise not trying to remove the hose from the pipe as pulling/twisting on the hose can damage the the very fragile heater pipe. The suggestion is to cut the hose along the pipe to free it, which then means it must then be replaced. If you are going to replace the hose then a set of screw on hose clamps will provide a better seal than the OEM spring clips (which are used to cut down on assembly time in the factory). ANZ - as Mr Morlock has said, I would clean the residue off and keep an eye on it, especially on hot days - if it continues to weep then I would replace it.

Thanks everyone

It got me worried that it might blow up like 1red5s

I'll give it a wipe and see if it still happens

and if it does come back

Should i replace it with genuine parts or aftermarket?
and if aftermarket where do i get these from?
obviously genuine parts from Mazda

I doubt that you will find it as an aftermarket part. Start saving for a visit to a Mazda spares place.

Stating the obvious here but it looks like poo :?
Silicon = expensive, and I haven't seen custom heater hoses for MX-5's, but if you look hard enough Samco or Thermopol may have it.

red silicone ones on mine. they do last longer & the heater hoses are something you don't want to have to do ever.
