Looks buck-toothed like Bugs Bunny, see if you can get it back in the hole a bit

Hey mate, you do know that you can get a replacement slimline plate from vic roads for about $30. I think that'd look much better! Other wise good work, i'd do similar if it wasn't for the damage behind my plate due to the brilliant OEM design

I recently purchased a slimline for the front of my car, I left the rear one standard. It was only $30- something for the one.

The way the rear of the na6 rear panel is designed the slim line would look silly as you'll be able to see pic below. I haven't really thought about it in relation to a nb, I think the rear one looks fine in the photos, though a slimline would probebly look a little better. However, the front would make the most difference.

Awesome :D They are in my opinion the best looking mx5 oem wheel, although thats a somewhat biased opinion  You'll probebly be one of the few people that I know of to run them on a nb8a.

And I reckon if you could mount the plate a little deeper, or make something which obscures the first letter, we could have something to avoid unwanted spud camera shots.

hmm... I may have to look into that. I never thought of that, although I think you could do something reasonably quite easily to obscure one letter from an angle yet remain visable from straight behind.

Be careful with this one though...!
In NSW at least the plate has to be visible from 45degrees left and right of the front
and a certain number of degrees from above and below

Someone made a very good pic of this back when there was discussion about offset plates... but hopefully you get my drift...

Fine point, that is the law, and I guess the easiest was not to get photgraphed is to stay within the speed limit...

Hey,

Has anyone here got an NB8C or SE and tried a side mount for their front plate? Or does anyone have some photos or links?

I'm sick and tired of getting the front bar hole-punched by the standard plate bracket thanks to the scum of society who touch-park and then flee without leaving details. I was thinking the side mount would look cool, like Evo cool, so I'm keen to see how it looks.
