not saying your fat or anything wun... never really checked you out when i met you
but if your making the car loose every ounce you can and you believe firmly that 1kg is worth the effort of removing your stero totally before each track day..
how much wiegh reduction have YOU done?? or are you making the car do all the hard work, shedding all the kgs?

One kilo... so that saves one approximately 0.01 seconds per lap I assume. It's illigal to drive with bare feet and no shirt on the track isn't it? I hope you remove your cd's when you take the stereo out I assume you use an open face helmet...
Although perhaps the weight reduction will mean that you can out accelerate my stock na6 on the next run

Yeah laxatives help shed that extra couple of kg before a track day. Open face helmet of course (thanks for the light weight option FFG)
Yeah windblocker, glove box, passenger seat, space saver spare and tools, remote and house keys from key ring, lighter, wind screne washer bottle, bonnet strap, engine hooks, toe hooks break shields, speakers etc taken out before track day put back later or not at all.
I want to remove air con you sweat you it evaporates you lose weight (I do drink on track day tho).
I bring my own fuel in a can only half a tank on the track (that saves a lot of weight and is the easy to do)
Rules say must have leather shoe but nowhere it says you have to have socks so no socks on the day.
Initially the first 50-100 kg weight reduction is a poor mans performance mod.
The next 100 kg it gets expensive (volks) and time consuming (LWF).

But he still has an electric antenna, carpet, central locking, door trims, sun visors, roof . If you're going to be the king of light weight Wun then go the whole hog

I agree with mean mx, Wun you need to get serious if you are going to live up to that sig of yours. Loose it all You could even remove the indicators and reflectors, the entire dash and centre console, fog lights, electric mirror and window motors...
Or you could just sell your nb and buy a na6 which is 140 kg lighter than your nb8b.

Cause I am sure experience has nothing to do with laptimes Matty
In 99.9% of cases the slowest part of any car on the racetrack is the driver. Work on your driving and get out there and do as many events as possible. Most of the quick guys in the MX5 Vic club have been racing for years and I don't think any of them set lap records in their first year.
Wun,
You can also lose the starter motor, they are quite heavy you know. Just park pointing downhill or push start it.
If you are going to go light weight show some commitment
