Bolt for Bignose crank

Does anybody know the part number for the crank bolt in a bignose (NA6CE) engine?

If it's the same as the NB8A, I have a spare, going cheap (postage)

Its probably a B3C7-11-406

The bolt I am looking for has the following measurements.....

53mm from flange to tip.
13mm shaft dia.
32.5mm from tip to the end of the thread.
32mm flange dia.
73mm long.



If your's is this size, and has never been used.

I will pay you for it.

The one I have is not a newy (came of my old NB8A motor).
I'll take some measurements if you're still interested

No thanks, these bolts are elastic and I need a new one.

As you can see, I have a perfectly good used one.

btw, elastic is good !!!! it's plastic thats bad
lookup tensile testing or youngs modulus on the www and you'll see that all materials have an elastic limit, where they will return to their original size/shape when the force is released. If you exceed the elastic limit and get into the plastic region it won't return to it's original size. Beyond the plastic is internal rupture and eventually failure.

As long as you know the history of the one you have (ie: it hasn't been overtightened) it will be fine

Well said Woo- a little bit of knowledge is welcome. I read an interesting article recently where aftermarket bolts said to be hardened were not and led to a mechanical failure and many self tappers which are by default are hardened and tempered are often not. The bottom line is buy OE products where you can not unknown quality.
