emanage tuners?

anyone know of any tuners in NSW that tune the greddy emanage piggyback?

all i know of is CRD which quoted me $650 for install and tune, i have had work done with them before and are quite good and know what they are doing.

also if anyone is using one, how do you find it?

Well, start with Dave at Mania to show your support to the nice sponsors for this forum. :mrgreen:

Then you can also try Advan Performance, who used to be the Trust distributors, so they know the product and they too have an in-house dyno. Call them on (02) 9648 3366. Speak to Karen or Peter Hopkins and tell them Les in Perth sent you.

The eManage is used a lot over in the U.S. (see here -> clicky). You can add the injector or ignition harnesses if you require or the boost control kit if you need to control boost (still need a soleniod/valve for N/A cars going turbo though).

Pretty good units for what they are. Get the universal units if you want to get them tuned for custom applications or just that you want to be able to tune something that you paid money for.

Trust do eManage units which are plug-n-play kits for the NA6 or NA8. They come pre-programmed and are a direct plug in to suit:
1) NA6 normally aspirated
2) NA6 mild turbo (5psi boost)
3) NA8 normally aspirated
Although I have heard good things about the MX5 plug-n-play kits, they are not supposed to be re-programmable so there have been situations that customers have been caught out by this :shock:

I believe that the last case I heard of was when the customer even bought a new support tool disc to get a new serial/registration number but still couldn't get into the emanage software on the unit. Especially since most of us build a car up gradually with modifications and may need to re-tune the eManage at some stage for different reasons (cams, turbo, supercharger, etc). I think the RX8 guys also had issues with the eManage. However, if anyone knows if this issue has been rectified by Trust and all plug-n-play kits are now re-programmable please let me know and I will edit my post. :wink:

I have estimated horsepower improvements from Trust's technical department for the MX5 plug-n-play kits but I'd rather not post them up as they are based on JDM MX5s, on higher octane fuel and on a dynapack dyno. PM if you are curious. :mrgreen:

cheers for that, the one site i forgot to check has heaps of info on emanage. they are very popular in the u.k too, pretty much everywhere exept here. i am thinking of running the ignition harness, hevn wont be going turbo ;). i will try advan, cheers.

Has any1 installed an emanage blue into an NB8B ??

Does the VTC make it harder to tune the emanage ?? and possible power gains with CAI, headers and cat-back system ???

Can any please shed some light as to where i can get the wiring harness kit for NB's (I DO NOT want to cut wires) !!!

lucky you, give JDMyard a ring, i'm sure they can get one in for you, or croydon racing developments. i have chosen crd to tune my emanage as they have done good work for me in the past. i was quoted $650 for tune of emanage, and tuning cams into the stock powerband.

Croydon have been specalising in greddy emanage and ultimate for a while now, and as far as i know they are the only ones that advertise themselves to tune these piggybacks.

My car is an 2003 NB8B ... so .... dun think i can get a genuine greddy one

Unfortunately Trust have only tested the harness up to the 2000 Model MX-5 with the Emanage Blue. So i cant guarantee a harness that can fit for it. Sorry.
