o.k. I know i can search for this but it becomes a time consuming, frustrating task. what is the spring compression rate for standard na springs, in kilos or lbs. also have found a place that will rebuild standard bilsten shocks at $120 a corner. I want to educate myself before i rush into replacing my suspension, so be prepared for some really stupid questions

No idea about spring rates, but send tbro a PM about rebuilding. From memory, I think he found a place that will do it MUCH cheaper and much more competently.
