You can hook up both the OG & FM 02 clamp without needing to remove the ECU security plate. The 02 sensor wire is accessible from the engine bay.

The 02 sensor wire & plug can be found directly behind the rocker cover on the right when facing the engine. You simply cut the line and crimp with male/female connectors and clamp the appropriate voltage.

Add about 1.5 meters worth of electrical wire from the M/F connectors and run that through the hole in the firewall, along with the vacuum line for the 02 clamp.

Once through the firewall hole, you can simply drop the 02 clamp behind the carpet or mount it with some zip ties somewhere. The 02 clamp requires power so you can splice the cigeratte lighter line to get it.

If you have boost gauge already installed, then simply T off the vacuum source of the 02 clamp and use the power source that lights up the boost gauge to activate the 02 clamp.

Removing the ECU plate is only necessary if your planning on ECU work.

Thats a big help guys.
I came home early yesterday to spend some time fitting it.
But I didnt get a chance. :frown:
OT
Some one had broken into my house and trashed it!
Mongrels!!!
Luckily I came home when I did. I disturbed them before they could take too much.
They specifically took cash and jewelery.
But they have trashed our office - really trashed it! Every customer file folder emptied onto the floor.
Probably several days work for me to tidy up and refile everything.
Have fingerprint squad coming today to CSI their ass!

FYI Dont bother hiding valuables in your house - they will find them!
And get decent locks on doors. They came in through a 'locked' security screen sliding door and 'locked' glass sliding door.
Simply jimmied them open with a pry bar.
So now we are up for a few grand worth of security screen upgrades.

There goes my EXEDE project. :frown:

OMG :D
Just finished fitting the OG O2 Mod.
Fanbloodytastic!
Why dont they come with this mod?
I have only had a quick run up and down my road, but the difference was noticeable straight away.
Very smooth acceleration, all the big low speed lag removed.
AMAZING!
Will take for a longer run under diferent conditions tomorrow.
Waiting to find downside

Thanks Blackster

MINX, sorry to hear about the break-in, hope they catch the b@stards!

But, good news re the O2 mod, so it's really what it's cracked up to be hey?

On your install (or anyone elses) where did you take power and gnd from? On the above advice, I simply spliced the red and black wires from the black plastic voltage box, into the yellow (switched +ve) and black (gnd) wires going to the back of the cigarette lighter.

Also spliced into the 02 wire at the plug in the engine bay as Phil suggested and connected the vaccuum line.

My problem here is, I can't seem to hear the switch "chattering away' when when the voltage screw is completely unscrewed to its loosest? I tried various tightening levels and couldn't hear the switch making ANY sound whatsoever when apply various levels of throttle at idle.

What have I done wrong? I'm assuming the yellow and black lines behind the cigarette lighter are ok for power and ground?

So what could it be? How did you connect it up Minx? Also, did you have to adjust voltage box or pressure switch at all?

I connected as per Blacksters instructions.
I also used the cig lighter black and yellow cables(yellow for power, black for grnd)
I didnt adjust anything on the clamp or box. I left it set as delivered. (not FM O2 mod, but Olderguy O2 Mod from Turbomiatanet).
I understand you may not hear it working if you are in neutral, it has to be changing boost.
No idea whether mine is making a noise, couldnt hear it on first short drive.
I have it zip tied, tucked under the centre console close to cig lighter wires.(drivers left knee).
You will have to follow adjustment instructions if you have changed it from default settings.

Just took car for a quick run with the roof up.
I can hear the O2 Clamp clicking(vibrating) just as gauge hits, or just below zero boost.
In normal driving with the roof down (std position) i dont think you will hear the clamp.
Power is definitely more linear. Dare I say.....more like an SP.
