OK; list price on 195/50R15 is $280, so expect around $265/tyre with 3 sets. List price on 195/55R15 is $290.

I've spoken to Mokesta via PM and getting them in from O/S requires us having someone bringing in a container, and not trying to screw us.

Unfortunately that limits our options, and makes it a lengthy process. I think we try and make a deal with MX5Plus or someone associated with the motorsport guys to get some in in the next container, but as MX5plus has a container almost here, it'll be 6ish months before he fills another container. That is if he agrees at all.

I think the best option is to gather some numbers now for a small discount then start talks with some importers for next time so we can get a better price.

If we get 3 sets we can save $60; if we get more sets we might be able to get a better deal. Get your names down on the list guys.

I'm thinking we book ourselves in to Tyretech on Sat 11th of Oct. 3 sets will take around 1.5hours to swap, according to their fitter.

UPDATE:

Thanks to 16bit for PMing me and putting me onto a different tyre shop.

I have the following prices:

205/50/15 $208 fitted and balanced.
195/50/15 $199 fitted and balanced.

I confirmed this is the correct compound.

NMX516 and I are booked in for this Saturday morning. PM me for details.

I've just been told he only has 3 195/50R15 and won't have any more for around a month.

He has one set of 195/55R15 for $214/tyre fitted and balanced. Plenty of 205/50s

I am in for a set of 205 50 15 for that price. I won't get them F&B because my existing set still have a few track days left in them. At that price I'll keep them under the house until I need them.
