Protecting leather from wear

So i'll just keep feeding the seats and also work on my in/out routine! I didn't mean for this to come across as being anal. Trust me i enjoy the seats! So much so that they are already starting to wear and i've only had it for less than 5000km! (They looked brand spanking new when i bought the car! They still do but less so) I think i love my car too much :mrgreen:

enjoy the feel of the leather instead of leaving the enjoyment to the next owner

Next owner? nah ah, this ones mine for all of eternity!

Hey, Benny, thanks for the info. My leather has never never been nourished, Id say. Its almost like cardboard, and the black has deep cracks on the bolsters.I saw a thing on the net for some stuff called "leatherique" where thay say you shouldnt use neatsfoot oil because it will stuff up the stitching, and a whole lot of Rolls Royde and Aston guys etc give testimonials about how good this leatherique stuff is.( Since its an ad site, its not surprising they are all positive). Since you are in the business, have you ever heard of it and what should I use for really dry leather? Hope you dont mind the Q, but since you have been in the business, I thought you might be the one to ask.

I've seen this "Leatherique"advertsied also, mainly in classic car magazines.
I've never tried it, but the claims make it sound very good.

If your seat is already pretty stuffed, why not give it a go, and let me know what you think.
You probably won't make it any worse.

Hey Benny,

With the mister sheen thing you mentioned, do I still need to "feed" the leather as they say?
or is mister sheen fine to use as the only thing!
Mine has the lego block blue leather it is double stitched.

Mr Sheen will feed the leather as well as clean it.

About 10 years ago, a friend of mine bought a Honda Accord with leather upholstery and as the car was never garaged and was left out in the sun all day, every day, he alsed me what he should do to protect his leather.
I gave him th same advice I'm giving you, and so every month, he used Mr Sheen to clean his seats.
He kept the car for over 7 years, and the leather still looked like brand new even though he did't do anything extra for the leather in all that time.
As a matter of fact, the leather was softer and had a nicer feel to it from when it was new.
