Megasquirt owners thread
Hey everyone
I recently installed a PNP megasquirt into my 94 NA, and its finally working ok. I was wondering if anyone got theirs professionally tuned and if it’s worthwhile, if so can anyone suggest a good place on the north side (Brisbane) where I could get it tuned in properly.
Thanks for any input.

Hi
To the best of my knowledge there is no tuner in Brisbane with first hand knowledge of Megasquirt, see my earlier post regarding Toowoomba, it's only a couple of hours from Brisbane and well worth the drive

My MM9093 arrived yesterday (nice looking piece of kit), should have the WBO2 and IAT sensor arriving later this week or early next week. Once they get here I'll be installing it all . Once that's all good I'll be swapping my intake manifold for a NB6 intake with throttle body and VTPS. Finally in a month or two i'll be improving the intake with the help of an mp62

Coolness. Whereabouts in Brisbane are ya?
I wouldn't mind taking a gander and giving a helping hand with the intake and blower mods.

I've got some teething issues with my MSPNP. At the moment I am running it on a 1.6 stock engine with AFM and base tune from diyauto.
The PNP has been moded by diyautotune to run a VTPS (which i dont have installed yet, so until I do they told me to not run the ECU with the TPS connected). Initially I had it running with the narrowband sensor, and set base timing, and at that stage it was idleing fine on warmup then idle would drop to around 400, on Sunday I installed an LC-1 with gauge and did the calibration etc.
Now I have the idle sitting at 2k rpm constantly, I'll post a datlog, when I get home today, that I did last night. I have setup the EGO settings to wideband and changed the config settings to the 0v-5v settings. The LC1 is also outputting that setting.
Any ideas what i can do??
I've also got an NB6 intake manifold and throttle body from mx5 plus that is going to go on at a later date once i have the plugs for those sensors sorted.

Hey
Check the settings under more settings, idle controll and idle controll (closed loop settings) if they are all sweet adjust the idle controll screw on the top of the throttle body to acheive the desired idle speed.
Thats what i heard, i haven't tried it my self.
Good luck with it

Does anyone know of a tuner in NSW for Megasquirt, preferably around the Wollongong area?

Ok MegaSquirt'ers, a guy from another forum has offered to build me a MegaSquirt (he's an electrical technician) in return for getting him a ride in an NSX, which sounds like a very very very good deal to me. What I now need to know is what kit/parts I need to order?
NA8, will be having turbo kit installed, so I assume that I'll need some of the extra bits?
I've seen them advertised in a few different places on the net, can anyone reccomend a good seller?
Cheers

Yeah I've been looking on there today. Only problem is I can't work out if I want a MS-1 or a MS-2, and if the price difference for an assembled one is great enough to take Jeff up on his offer since I've read before that there can be a heap of testing involved to make sure its working right before you even get it near a car, and I'd assume that the prebuilt ones would have had all that done.
Maybe I'd be better off getting an assembled ecu and get him to build a megaview.
Still need to work out which of the extra bits I'd need and find out if they're compatible with a prebuilt or if they're easier to include in an unbuilt one
