Price check on DBA slotted 4000 series

Hoppers stoppers (the same place that fixed up my ss braided lines)

That was the price quoted for 270mm front NB8B 4000 series slotted rotors.

Making your own slots sounds interesting especially since I have shaved mine to minimum thickness to save weight...

Can you have as many slots as you want for your 20 bucks?

is the price for 1 disc or for a pair? if it is for one disc, why not try PBR from mania which are 220 dollars per pair for a nb8a???

It's a shame about our dollar or I would suggest the guy I bought from in the states. A month ago I bought two front 4000xs disc and a set of Hawk ceramic pads for $605 aud and it was here in 4 days. The cheapest I could get the discs here was $330 each and the pads would have been $265. So much for being the lucky country when even locally produced stuff is cheaper in the states good one DBA

Matty are you saying there that the 4000 series slotted aren't available for the NB8A? I don't know whether they are a new edition to the range, but I got mine in June, so they're definately made to suit NB8A now.

Oh, maybe they are. I dunno, they didn't used to be.

I thought the same as Matty...last time I looked at the DBA catalogue they only made the front 01 Sport brakes in DBA4000(270mm).

Uh... someone has mentioned that the thinner the rotors are the more likely they are to crack right? Having a rotor shatter when you are trying to use it is pretty catastrophic..... You track your car occasionally don't you which puts them under a fair amount of stress.

http://www.dba.com.au/2006/PDF_CATALOGUE/Catalogue_AUST/2007_AUSTCatalogue_180607.pdf
^Page 76. For some reason people in the shops seem to think they don't exist. I spoke to a bloke from DBA and they do exist. From memory you add S to the end of the part no. for slotted and L/R for left/right.
NB8A (2000 Highlight Silver), KU36, Kaaz LSD, QFM A1RM, Mazda Competition engine/differential mounts, Town & Country cat-back.

Slots will never get cut below minimum thickness spec. (which also makes them a handy wear indicator!)

$20 (and this was a few years ago) got me 6 slots on each. Usually he only did 4 on race cars though.
