Took a detour into Putty itself to check it out, there's really nothing to see there :(

How was the Road r_muir86, was it still Damp or did it dry out by the time you drove it?

Just got the september MOTOR Mag today and what do i find

I'm not quite sure why they think you need an M3 to do the Putty Road these days. Even Wayne's Kia could cope quite easily at the new 80-kmh speed limits

i could do with the money too, regie!

since it's a casual job, there's no sick leave..

i've got a big car service coming up that's going to cost me an arm and a testicle so the money would come in handy hehe

OHH BUGGER I've got an exam the next day and I'm gonna need it to study.
I'll see what I can do, if I can learn everything before then, then I can come, with my car.

How was the Road r_muir86, was it still Damp or did it dry out by the time you drove it?

It was slightly damp in areas, gave the place a rainforest feel at times, but overall there was plenty of grip on the road, this was mid afternoon though, I think it would've been alot worse had we gone earlier.

As for the road itself, I came across a total of 5 other cars going in the same direction as me along the entire 180km length, I was amazed that it was so quiet, especially on a sunny enough sunday.

Also put me down for the 14th!

WTF????

The 80kmh limits have been extended between Windsor and the Colo river and the ultra fast ultra smooth bit up the hill from the Colo River has been resurfaced so it's even smoother than before and now has an 80kmh speed limit. The twisty bits before the half way house are now 80kmh and the tight curvey bit at the end along the river is now limited to 80kmh. So basicaly all the good bits are now rooted. There is no way I can limit myself to only 80kmh on the awesome bit up the hill from Colo River, I used to have trouble sticking to somewhere around 100kmh before they dropped the speed limit. The curvey bit at the end along the river at 80kmh isn't to bad at that speed I guess if you're just after a mid paced cruise. As far as I'm concerned the Putty Road has gone the same way at the Old Pacific Highway, and very soon the Royal National Park.......good places to stay away from if you want to keep your licence intact. The Safety Police have destroyed the 3 best driving roads around Sydney.
