Geoff, because I didn't take out an air-compressor I started at 30 psi cold and then dropped the pressure in each corner down to be 30 psi hot as required. Depending on the circuit design each corner will need to be adjusted differently. I continued to check and adjust it as necessary for a couple more sessions before leaving it for the remainder of the day.

I should go and check the pressures to see what they are cold (well to suit Lakeside on a day like that anyway).

Cheers,
Danny

Yep, that's fair enough. I'll have a play with them on the QR day. There was a definite drop in performance after 3 laps or so... Let me tell you that tyres starting to let go at full throttle under the bridge isn't a nice feeling.

I've not run the Bridgestones and only run a few track days on my R888's (plus lots of motorkhanas). I'm so impressed with them and their consistency though I've just bought a second replacement set. Vote 1 R888's

I had a little bit higher pressure than Danny at the Lakeside Day but they didn't go off on me. (I'm running 185/60/14s on an NA.)

Yes - appropriate camber and sway bars / suspension setup are all important to make the tyres to perform for what you do. Eg I have too much camber on the rear for what I normally compete in / and street but is pretty right for the faster track days where you load up the outside tyre far more.
