Changing the water pump on my NA8.
I've received a Genuine Mazda Pump but noticed on the MX5 parts Uk site that it states
Genuine Mazda replacement Water Pump.
Mazda supply these pumps without gaskets as they recommend that you us a liquid 'gasket eliminator' instead. Not recommended with the aftermarket pumps, but the machine tolerances are much finer on these OEM parts.
Is this right? Just don't want to have to remove and replace thing more than once.

Water Pump Gaskets
I always use a gasket whenever possible regardless of instructions.
I also dab on some liquid gasket compound from Loctite or Permatex just to be sure.
If you are after a water pump gasket, I have new one, OEM
I think I was only after $5 for it.
