If I had a squeak that I couldnt find I think my first course of action would be to strip the car bit by bit, starting with the boot trim, spare wheel and all that, then drive, no difference put it all back in this time removing glove box, passenger seat, centre console and so forth until it's gone

Can you imagine the number of NEW squeaks and rattles you would create by loosening all that stuff !

I had a similar squeak in my Golf GTI whenever I had a sleeping girl next to me with dangley earrings.

I have that squeaky sound, but i know that its from the hairline fracture on my dash
1990 White NA6 & Kawasaki ZX9R
