Well, here is my 1990 White NA6 (Sasha) a pothole altered the orientation of a steering arm and I ploughed into a barrier....
So here is the damage.
Here is a pic a few days ago.
Here is the first 'dust' coat of gloss black on the bonnet.
The guards are all flared 2 inches and a Type N front bar and skirts are finally arriving from japan. Car will be entirely gloss black (keeping engine bay white) with airbrushed bonnet (design in the works). I'll spray the wheels in Colour shift Blue for an eye catching effect.
Engine is coming out for a rebuild when the gaskets and my new stand arrive (still looking for low-comp pistons). Then there are plans for a KKR280 turbo and other fun things. Rego running out and I have a daily so there is plenty of time to get it right .
Cheers,
Mundi

I wouldn't mind seeing the other, flared guards
Mundi's Haggard NA6 project
Edit: This isn't as frightening as it looks , the bondo is only a skim coat (about 3mm thick at most).
In their not-quite-finished state.
They've been like this for a few weeks, due to a lack of 80 grit orbital sandpaper. That is why I started paintwork on the hood before the rest of the car was preped, beats sitting around. Luckily I will pick up some more sandpaper when I collect the bodykit (hopefully very soon), I have to budget with the long trips I make as my daily is a 302.
As to how the flares are done:
1. Cut and pulled up and out.
2. Cardboard stencils made to get both sides even.
3. Panel beaten into rough shape.
4. Mig spot-welded.
5. Fibreglassed, inside and out.
6. Body-filler, inside and out. (more stencils and messing around)

Update:
Still waiting on bodykit, got bored and started to rough-in the bonnet graphic.

Be interesting to see what it looks like in the end ... will the whole car end up black?

Not going for Princess Peach?
I'm not a fan of airbrushing on cars but that looks almost spot-on from what you can see of the reference picture, it must take a lot of time to build up that much skill!

Thanks guys!
Here is the progress I made last night until my girlfriend Claire (who by strange happenstance is a member of this awesome site ) showed up and stood about looking cold and neglected.
I could do the GTR. (nice car btw). I have time for more jobs in about a month! (currently have a speedboat (4.9 Windsor with blower, a little insane) job for a mate and he is THE SLOWEST fibreglasser and body-finisher I know, besides myself).
For a bonnet Ayame in those colours (and sealer under figure) + Clearcoat you're looking at about $200. (mx5 owner's price ) I can also do pearls, candys and colourshifting designs but they are a pain (and expensive).
Quick update: Picking up the bodykit this afternoon! Customs is going to charge me about $500 kicking my buildup budget in the groin. A word of caution, do not deal with japanparts. I saw a similar kit (cheaper) in Aus but went for the more aggressive one in Japan and now my patience and wallet have suffered to the tune of 13 months and about $2300 .

More updates:
Customs fees ended up costing WAY more than I expected. But here are some pictures of how the kit looks on the car....

$200!
think i might be visiting Adelaide Jap Parts soon to find another GTR white bonnet so the original can be stored away.
might get even another one, so you can airbrush something like this onto it for a laugh sounds like you could use the money.

Yeah, funds are.... ..restrictive. Picking up a new extra strong engine crane soon, however, it was a group tradie buy and the price changed from when we organised it and when the guys in melbourne paid. So everything is fairly .
Love the picture!!!
The low price is not a reflection on quality, I give as much as I can to any project, its because I'm also a student (and have to report earnings...) and I'm getting started in the profession and require publicity/a huge portfolio more than money.

A little update:
I'm picking up my crane on Monday and hopefully picking up a rough as guts B6T engine soon (for pistons and rods). Most of the car is now in primer/filler and the rear flares are so very close to completion.
I removed the steering assembly and straightened out the lower arm, however I am a little concerned as to how strong it now is.
