I've currently got Tien Flexes fitted to my NB8A. been driving on them for 2 years now, and they were suppose to be a compromise between street and track. They are too hard for the street and too soft for the track and i'm fed up with them severly on the street! I was gonna take the flexes out and fit harder springs for the track and put my standard shocks back in for the street. swap them over then i go to the track and vice versa.
i was thinking, instread of putting the standard shocks and springs back in, i'll put the standard shocks with lowered springs in them. I was thinking of whiteline springs. Has anyone got these on there car with standard shocks? how is the ride quality? is the height still legal? are there any other options?
thanks!

I don't really have any comments about what you're suggesting, but I'm surprised you find the Flex's too soft for the track? I thought the Flex's were the Teins to get if you were tracking your car?

i assume you are adjusting them to full hard for track, and then softenning them right off for the street? not just leaving them set in the middle somewhere?
sorry if this is a stupid question, but often simple things can be overlooked.

What Fatty said.
Also what other suspension changes have you made? OEM sway bars? OEM bushes? All of these come together and affect the overall package.

i leave the settings the same as the track. i find that when i turn them down, the dampers can't keep up with the springs, i.e. bouncy. they are too much of a compromise on the track, and they are too soft for the weight of my car. i.e. full trim, lots of extra metal bracing, turbocharged etc. if my car was all stripped out, it would be a different story.
suspension wise, superpro bushes, uprated adjustable swaybars.
